There are plenty of choices inside the Market building on Granville Island. In cold weather, no one wants to sit outside. So finding seats and a table at noon - even on a cold Wednesday - is the real challenge. Once we got a table, I checked the menu of the place we had ended up. The Blue Parrot has quite an extensive menu and an all day breakfast. Our choices are pictured here. I think they do the right thing by putting on a significant amount of smoked salmon so that the bagel itself is not visible. I liked the addition of the slices of dill pickle which came as a surprise. The bill came to 28.67 - which I thought was reasonable. Bonus for me was that they gave us real glasses we could fill from the nearby fountain at no charge. So many other places charge too much for bottled water.

Me and my wife go here every weekend for coffee but my favorite was the Cafe Mocha with Whipped Cream and always customize it with half sweet and extra hot. The view is so beautiful and relaxing.

I enjoy the coffee and the food. Have been coming to the Blue Parrot for months now. Especially in the morning. Coffee is great. Omelette Wrap for breakfast is a good choice. Lemon bars in the afternoon are a fab pick me up. Great location with views of False Creek and the city. Come and enjoy.

I'm Italian, and I can tell.., they serve the best espresso in Metro Vancouver I've ever had!! The single shot is a super strong boost of taste and flavor... no difference to the espresso I've always had in Italy! They use "La Cimbali" professional coffee machines... one of the best brands, very common in Italy too. Service is also great, and the atmosphere is just unbeatable... the water view is breathtaking. Highly recommended!!

Blue Parrot had the highest rating among all the cafes in the market when I did my research so we opted to get our coffee here and we weren’t disappointed! I ordered Mocha and my husband had black coffee. We both loved it! The barista was also nice.

Having visited this great little cafe many many times since the early '80's, am very impressed with the quality of their food for a tiny prep area! As far as I know this is the only coffee and food place in the actual market where you can get your coffee in a glass cup. Iconic to a "T'!
